Behestan Plasma Co. supply plasma for manufacturing of Plasma Derived Medicinal Products (PDMP). This Company have to fulfill Iranian and EU laws at the same time. The plasma is produced in the Iran, but has been delivered so far to EU territory (Germany), to be toll manufactured for the following products: • IgG (Human Immunoglobulin) • HA (Human Albumin) • FVIII (Human Coagulation factor FVIII) • FIX (Human Coagulation Factor IX) All products which are toll manufactured in the EU do go back exclusively to the Iran for the supply of the Iranian patients. According to Iranian and EU laws, every plasma collection center has to hold a valid manufacturing authorization which documents that the production is running according to GMP. Such manufacturing authorization is based on regular inspections by EU (German) competent authorities: the respective German Regierungspräsidium. The German certificate is based on § 72a German Drug Act and documents that the production of plasma in the centers is running according to GMP. Furthermore, the plasma collection centers are audited regularly by Iran Food and Drug Administration, undersecretary of Iran Ministry of Health and Iran Blood Transfusion Organization.
