Job Description
Job Purpose:
The incumbent is responsible for the overall brand portfolio strategy in the JTI Near East Cluster (Iran and Afghanistan). He or she will manage brand development efforts and tasks to meet A&SP goals, including new product launches and rejuvenations by developing 360 communication strategies for the cluster while closely liaising with the NPD manager to make sure that all initiatives are implemented in a timely manner. Maintain overall brand consistency across all channels and touchpoints to ensure that the brands resonate with the target audience.
Areas of Responsibility:
Market Understanding:
- Develop a deep understanding of the Near East Cluster & its brands, to achieve key brand objectives towards Franchise and SOB (Source of Business), through in-depth market understanding using all strategic insights reports & data, brand guidelines provided by the local marketing team as well as the global M&S team in Geneva.
Portfolio Strategy:
- Define solid portfolio and communication strategy for Near East Cluster brands while performing ad-hoc business and brand strategy updates driven by specific business/market needs.
- Product and packaging mix: lead the implementation of new product and packaging initiatives, through positive interactions with key involved functions.
Stakeholders Management:
Manage and Positively Impact Company Stakeholders:
- Create a positive perception, passion, and excitement towards the achievement of brand aspiration in the Near East Cluster.
- Manage key market stakeholders, especially marketing, CA&C, Legal, and Commercial planning, and field Sales teams.
Support Consumer & Brand Director:
- Support the consumer and brand director for all tasks as they arise.
- Take a relevant part in key business reviews and ASP processes, supporting strategic planning with accurate and reliable analysis and forecast, business environment, and RMC market trends.
Candidate Profile:
Education:
- University degree (Marketing, Communications, Business, or related fields).
Work Experience and Competence:
- Working in the international FMCG industry as a brand manager or supervisor for at least 4 years.
Languages and Computer Skills:
- Highly proficient in spoken and written English.
Functional Skills:
- Good understanding of planning and strategic plans.
- Solid project management skills.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Solid knowledge of brand and portfolio management.
