Job Description
Job Purpose:
Protect business sustainability and company image by supervising all safety and occupational health issues, concerns, and obligations and mitigating environmental impacts and occupational health and safety risks. Ensuring legal compliance and providing solutions for sustainability and improvement of EHS across the company.
Areas of Responsibility:
EHS KPIs Monitoring:
- Monitoring the recordable injury rate and controlling it based on ASP.
- Monitoring vehicle accident frequency rate and control it based on ASP.
- Monitoring energy consumption and its control based on ASP.
Implement and Sustain the Reporting System:
- Ensuring reporting of all unsafe acts, unsafe conditions, and incidents.
Risk Management:
- Identifying the sales offices and warehouses' hazards and mitigating risks.
- Leading investigation of all EHS incidents including high-potential risks.
- Identifying the hazards related to fleet vehicles and making plans to reduce the VAF rate.
- Conducting harmful factors assessment and creating action plans for risk control.
Compliance:
- Implementing MOH, MOL, and Global EHS rules and following their advice, ensuring legal compliance of the operations to the local EHS-related regulations.
Empowering People:
- Fostering EHS ambassadors for sales offices.
- Holding general safety training for all employees.
- Ensuring of conducting defensive driving for job car users.
People Management:
- Recruit, motivate, supervise, and guide the professional development of the team reporting directly and indirectly to the incumbent.
Candidate Profile:
Education:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Industrial Safety/HSE/Occupational Health/Technical fields.
Work Experience and Competencies:
- One year of EHS supervisory experience or 4 years of EHS (expert level) experience.
Languages and Computer Skills:
- Fluent in speaking and writing English.
Functional Skills:
- Good knowledge of EHS laws and legal processes, understanding of risk management and environmental impacts and their aspects on business.
