Job Overview:
As the engineering department manager, you will lead and manage our international sales teams across the Middle East, Africa, and Europe, driving the growth of our business in these regions. You will be responsible for developing and executing sales strategies, managing a high-performing team, and expanding market presence in the industrial automation, low-voltage electrical products, and process instrumentation sectors. The ideal candidate will have a solid engineering background, strong sales experience in international markets, and excellent communication skills in English.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team of international sales managers, ensuring alignment with corporate goals.
- Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and expand market share across key regions.
- Build and nurture strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders in the Middle East, Africa, and Europe.
- Identify and pursue new market opportunities, staying ahead of industry trends and competitor activity.
- Negotiate high-level contracts, pricing, and terms with international clients.
- Work closely with the senior leadership team to align sales strategies with broader company goals.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to the sales team, ensuring professional growth and development.
- Represent the company at international trade shows, industry events, and client meetings.
- Maintain a deep understanding of the industrial automation, low and medium voltage systems, and process instrumentation markets.
Requirements:
- Experience: At least 8 years of experience in sales, with at least 3 years in a leadership role managing international sales teams.
- Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of industrial automation, electrical engineering (low and medium voltage products), process instrumentation, and systems integration industries.
- Sales Expertise: Proven track record in selling to international markets, particularly in the Middle East, Africa, and Europe. Experience negotiating complex deals and closing high-value contracts.
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
- Language Skills: Fluency in English, both written and spoken, is essential. Knowledge of additional languages (e.g., Arabic, French) is an advantage.
- Leadership Skills: Demonstrated experience in managing and leading a team to success. Strong mentoring and team-building capabilities.
- Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal communication, able to work across cultures and with multiple nationalities.
- Technical Understanding: Familiarity with products such as PLCs, circuit breakers, panel building, system integration, low and medium-voltage products, and power generation is crucial.
- International Business Acumen: Deep understanding of global business practices, market entry strategies, and international trade regulations.
