Job Description

Mission:

• To lead and provide the proper FTTX Infrastructure for the future growth and topology of Transmission within the Business & Budgetary priorities of MTNIrancell and implement the required planning and optimization of network
• To maximize TVO by offering CAPEX/OPEX saving solutions in the Fiber and TX infrastructure network planning and optimization
• To map out the FTTX technology roadmap for technological evolution and migration in line with global technology trends.
• To lead and ensure time FTTX design delivery and track the implementation up to PAC

Roles:

• To establish a relationship with the regulator and key Incumbent Operators to ensure effective Fiber & TX infrastructure delivery.
• To lead and oversee all FTTX Infrastructure network design and optimization to ensure deliverables are met according to customer growth figures.
• To ensure time FTTX design delivery and track the implementation up to PAC.
• To manage and coach the planning and implementation programs of Infrastructure turnkey providers.
• To lead the process of building additional capacity for transmission using appropriate technologies (fiber).
• To develop Network Optimization and related material plans for FTTX and process for all links across different regions and vendors.
• To design and develop transmission network infrastructure methodologies, plans, policies, and procedures.
• To act as a technical representative in contract negotiations with CPG/Commercial legal department in related areas.
• To direct Successful integration of transmission Infrastructure networks, built by turnkey vendors.
• To lead the Implementation of the appropriate procedure for all FTTX network deployments.
• To lead the implementation of the Fiber Transmission routes with high availability.
• To control and oversee the budget directly related to FTTX network expansions and upgrades.
• To oversee and approve that all the licensing requirements are met in the area of control.
• To ensure the development of own department budgets/performance contracts based on robust analysis linked to clear priorities.
• To verify identified requirements for FTTX based on business forecasts.
• To ensure successful operational integration of FTTX networks built by turnkey vendors.
• To study and keep track of global technology advancements and stay abreast of the standardization work of relevant industry bodies.
• To lead and oversee requirements integration from multiple internal and external stakeholders to provide the relevant bearer services to support business growth.
• To own the equipment management process of FTTX implementations and ensure sufficient stock is always available.
• To provide Operational Leadership for the team of individuals working on the planning and operation of all FTTX Infrastructure for the Core, Metro, backbone, Edge, and Access Networks.
• To lead and oversee the providing, planning, and implementation of active devices used in FTTX.
• To lead and oversee the providing, planning, and implementation of passive material used in FTTX.
• To lead and oversee all FTTX methods as Full turn-key (FTK), subcontractor, and FCP.

Requirements:

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Technology Systems (Telecommunication Management/Information Technology) or a related discipline.
• An MBA or a Master’s degree is an advantage.

Experience:

• 5 years of managerial experience in FTTX design and implementation in relevant sectors/industries.
• Experience leading cross-functional project teams, as a manager.
• Project management experience is an advantage.
