Guide and promote employee health and safety performance by assisting in developing health and safety systems, programs, and procedures to prevent occupational injuries and illnesses, and enhance the overall site safety culture resulting in management engagement, employee involvement, and the reduction in unsafe conditions and behaviors.
Participate in incident investigations to guide on finding root causes and identifying aligned long-term corrective actions.
Perform facility audits, surveys, and inspections to identify environmental, safety, and occupational hazards and weaknesses, promote effective practices ensure compliance with applicable regulations, and develop recommendations that provide solutions, remedies, or process improvement.
Participates, reviews, and approves risk assessments such as job safety analysis, new processes, new chemicals, and personal protective equipment assessments.
Support waste management.
Educate employees on how to prevent health problems using safety training programs
Monitor contractor activities to ensure compliance with Cobel Darou Safety Policies.
Participate in projects for new equipment or improvement as a safety representative.
Recommend changes to protect workers.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety and Health, or Engineering fields.
3 to 5 years of experience.
Experience writing and implementing HSE policies and procedures.
Pharmaceutical manufacturing industry experience.
Knowledge of OSHA, Federal, State, and local safety laws and regulations.
Proficient in Microsoft Office products: Excel, Word, and Outlook.
Able to be aware of all relevant SOPs as per Company policy as they are related to the position covered by this job description.
Able to comply with the company’s quality policy at all times.
