Job Description
The maintenance instrument engineer should mainly follow and perform activities related to field instruments and if needed should support the instrument control system engineer as well.
- Execute or supervise preventive maintenance for instrument equipment such as instrument valves, field instruments, wellhead control panels (WHCP), F&G, etc.
- Troubleshooting anomalies & breakdowns, effective fault rectification, and replacing faulty equipment or parts.
- Supervise subcontractor team performance to ensure proper implementation of related standards and procedures.
- Utilize the computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) in all stages of work, such as receiving the work order up to the closeout, receiving and returning the materials from/to the warehouse, etc.
- Amicable and ever cooperation with colleagues in their section, as well as other departments, clients, subcontractors, vendors, etc.
- Leadership and task assignment & distribution to technicians as well as supervising their performance to ensure proper implementation of related standards and procedures, if this task is assigned to him.
- Assist, direct, and supervise vendors during their presence at the site.
- Continuous study and review of project documents, such as operation manual, datasheet, etc. related to all equipment and facilities of the project, to keep up to date with the information needed to carry out maintenance activities.
- Continuous monitoring of project warehouse inventory and timely issuance of purchase requests for spare parts and consumable materials.
- Participate in Root Cause Analysis for significant equipment failures.
- Continuous evaluation and monitor site situation in addition to studying and review of project documents to improve the efficiency of equipment, facilities, process, and maintenance activities via proposing technical modifications.
- Review and update PM and Preservation tasks to improve the PM and Preservation effectiveness.
- Sharing knowledge and experience with other team members and helping bring them to a higher level of competence through mutual assistance.
- Contribute to the resolution of process problems.
