POSITION SUMMARY:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented IT Intern to join our IT department as an administrative assistant. This internship is designed to provide hands-on experience and professional development opportunities in a dynamic and collaborative environment. The intern will support the IT team in various administrative tasks, learn about IT operations, and gain exposure to a wide range of technologies and processes.
A DAY IN THE LIFE …
Administrative Support:
- Assist in managing the IT department’s schedule, including meetings, appointments, and project timelines.
- Maintain and organize IT documentation, including hardware and software inventories, user guides, and standard operating procedures.
- Handle administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, and correspondence.
IT Operations:
- Support the setup, configuration, and maintenance of IT equipment such as computers, printers, and network devices.
- Assist with software installations, updates, and troubleshooting.
- Help monitor and respond to IT support tickets, providing first-level support and escalating issues as necessary.
Project Assistance:
- Participate in IT projects, contributing to planning, execution, and documentation.
- Conduct research on new technologies and tools that could benefit the IT department.
- Assist in the implementation of IT policies and procedures.
Learning and Development:
- Take advantage of training opportunities provided by the company to enhance IT knowledge and skills.
- Shadow IT professionals to gain insights into different areas of IT, including network administration, cybersecurity, and system management.
- Engage in self-directed learning to stay updated on industry trends and best practices.
Team Collaboration:
- Work closely with team members to support IT initiatives and improve service delivery.
- Contribute to a positive team environment by sharing knowledge and assisting colleagues as needed.
- Attend team meetings and contribute ideas for improving IT processes and services.
What Will Make You Successful?
- Education: Currently pursuing a degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related field.
- Technical Skills: Basic understanding of ERP systems, Excel
- Soft Skills: Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Interpersonal Skills: Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and interact professionally with colleagues and users.
- Learning Attitude: Willingness to learn, adapt, and take on new challenges. Enthusiastic about gaining practical ERP and IT experience.
