Job Description

The lab technician plays a crucial role in conducting paint testing, maintaining laboratory equipment, and assisting in the development of innovative paint formulations. This position is essential for ensuring the high quality and performance of our OEM paint solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in conducting various paint testing procedures, including viscosity, color, adhesion, durability, and more.
• Prepare paint samples and perform meticulous measurements and observations.
• Maintain accurate records, documentation, and data entry in laboratory logs and reports.
• Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, ensuring proper calibration and safety practices.
• Contribute to the development and evaluation of new paint formulations under the guidance of senior technicians.
• Collaborate with other lab team members and participate in discussions to optimize processes and solve technical challenges.
• Adhere to all laboratory safety protocols and industry standards.

Qualifications:

• At least an Associate's degree in Chemistry, Materials Science, or a related field.
• Lab experience is preferred, especially with paint or coatings.
• Proficiency in basic lab techniques (sample prep, paint testing).
• Experience with lab equipment.
• Accurate data recording, analysis, and interpretation.
• Strong understanding of lab safety protocols.
• Excellent organization and documentation skills.
• Effective communication and teamwork.
• Problem-solving skills.
