Job Description

Position Intro:

The mechanical engineer delivers specialized support to operations in the area(s) such as a Specific process or product, energy, water, civil eng., utilities, thermal, etc. while ensuring health and safety, product safety, and environment are never compromised, and enhancing business objectives and operations performance.

Major Responsibilities:

Enable high-performance operations, by providing assets' maintenance according to the Nestlé Strategy, using TPM/PM as the multi-disciplined approach to maintain/improve fixed assets, and AMM to manage their life cycle. Support in capital Investments projects in the factory ensuring that the technical solution follows corporate and market standards and is delivered with the expected quality, being on time and within budget.

Roles:

  • Prepare the user and technical specifications, coordinate the requirements of the main users (production, quality, etc.), and follow up the solution development, the pre-test, implementation, and training of operators and maintenance crews. 
  • Maintenance engineers play a key role in the continuous improvement of our factories through mastering the process and product characteristics. The M&I engineer must have a deep insight into the processes and continuously strive for the improvement of quality, safety, or efficiency while protecting the technological know-how and competitive advantage.
  • Participates in the implementation of engineering tools at site level (i.e. NSAT, NIMS, AMM, etc.).
  • Ensure that all M&I installations comply with market and corporate safety, health, environment, product safety, and product quality standards.
  • Ensure that the key M&I documentation is up to date and in place (calibration procedures, etc.).
  • Participate in the M&I activities in the factory.
  • Ensure processes and equipment in his/her area of competence are safe for people, products, and the environment, in line with all corresponding local/Nestlé regulations.
  • Support and implementation of the corresponding aspects of NCE/TPM.
  • Ensure engineering support for the implementation of the market’s plans, procedures, and policies.
  • Represent the group in all technical initiatives/events with relevance to the business and his/her specific competence.

Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • At least 5 to 7 years of experience in an engineering discipline, preferably in a food-related manufacturing plant.
  • Exposure to TPM, preventive maintenance planning, and/or maintenance execution is an advantage.
  • Proficient in spoken and written English.
  • Problem-solving mindset.
  • Teamwork spirit.
