Job Description

  • To follow MTNIrancell's media relations strategy to maintain the company's corporate image and identity in media relations.
  • To coordinate publishing all media content in external media, aligned with corporate awareness program and strategy.
  • To follow the engagement plan with related stakeholders to meet MTNIrancell PR requirements on media relations.
  • To get procurement and other divisions' advertising requests for publishing in the target media.
  • To coordinate with newspapers, magazines, websites, social media channels, and the Ads section of media organizations to ensure the publishing of MTNIrancell advertising materials and web banners.
  • To coordinate the media relations negotiation meetings and follow up with PROC and L&R divisions to prepare and finalize the required motivations and contracts.
  • To follow up with news media, including the target media, for proper publishing of the MTNIrancell media content according to the content publishing plan.
  • To coordinate the preparation of the needed calendar for media-related special events and send related congrats or condolence materials to the media.
  • To monitor the media contents about MTNIrancell, competitors, and other ICT-related areas to alert/ escalate to the media relations manager over any media issue/Crisis according to the agreed policy/procedures.
  • To update the media correspondent’s database regularly and share the required reports.
  • To prepare the list of media correspondent invitees to the MTNIrancell events and exhibitions and coordinate for inviting them.
  • To coordinate the proper supply, inventory, packing, and presentation of the Media Communications team’s physical properties, including gifts.
  • To follow up on the executive affairs of MTNIrancell events, as per PR matters.
  • To check the media communications team’s shared mailboxes’ inboxes regularly and refer the emails to the related division/escalate to the media relations manager if needed.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications (Public Relations, Journalism, or related); a Master's degree in Communications; an MBA graduate. 
  • Fluent in English.
  • At least 3 years of experience in public relations and affairs.
  • Experience working in a medium to large size organization.
  • Experience in organizing and publishing media content.
  • Experience working in a PR team having relation with the media’s editorial team/or experience of working in a news media’s editorial having relation with PRs.
  • Familiarity with digital marketing concepts and trends.
  • Experience in preparing daily media monitoring and analyzing reports.
  • Experience in Media event management.
  • Cross-functional role relationships and networking experience is required.
