Job Description
Project Planning and Scheduling:
- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules (Gantt charts, milestone plans).
- Define the project scope, timelines, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders.
Resource Management:
- Allocate resources (human, equipment, and materials) to meet project demands.
- Identify resource gaps and propose solutions.
Progress Monitoring and Reporting:
- Track project progress and identify delays or deviations from plans.
- Prepare regular progress reports for senior management and stakeholders.
Risk and Change Management:
- Identify project risks and develop mitigation plans.
- Manage schedule changes and ensure alignment with project goals.
Team Coordination and Leadership:
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other departments to ensure effective communication and execution.
- Lead a team of planners or schedulers as needed.
Budget and Cost Analysis:
- Work closely with the cost control team to monitor budget adherence.
- Provide input for cost forecasting and variance analysis.
Process Improvement:
- Improve planning processes and tools to enhance efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with organizational standards and methodologies.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Industrial, Civil, Mechanical) or a related field.
- Advanced degrees (e.g., a Master’s degree in Project Management) are a plus.
Experience:
- 7+ years of experience in project planning and scheduling, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
- Proven experience with large-scale projects (construction, manufacturing, IT, etc.).
Technical Skills:
- Expertise in scheduling software such as Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or similar tools.
- Proficiency in analytical tools like Excel, Power BI, or Tableau.
- Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
- Strong knowledge of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).
Certifications:
- PMP (Project Management Professional) or PRINCE2 certification.
- Primavera Certified Expert (preferred).
- Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma is an advantage.
