Job Description
Product Development and Innovation:
- Lead the research, development, and innovation of new adhesive products.
- Improve existing products by evaluating their performance and identifying areas for improvement.
Market Research and Customer Interaction:
- Conduct market research to identify trends, customer needs, and opportunities for new adhesive products.
- Work closely with sales, marketing, and customer service teams to understand customer requirements.
- Attend customer meetings to gather feedback on products and suggest modifications as necessary.
Project Management:
- Plan, execute, and manage multiple product development projects simultaneously.
- Develop timelines and coordinate the work of cross-functional teams, including R&D, production, and quality assurance.
- Ensure that product development projects stay on schedule, within budget, and align with strategic goals.
Quality Control and Compliance:
- Ensure that the developed adhesives meet industry standards, regulatory requirements, and quality control specifications.
- Work with quality control teams to ensure the products are tested and validated before launching.
Collaboration with Manufacturing:
- Work closely with the manufacturing team to ensure that new adhesive products are scalable and cost-effective for production.
- Resolve any challenges related to manufacturing constraints or limitations.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Document product specifications, test results, and development processes.
- Develop reports and presentations to communicate development milestones and results.
Cost Management and Pricing Strategy:
- Work with the finance team to determine product pricing strategies based on production costs, market demand, and competitive pricing.
- Monitor product development budgets to ensure efficient use of resources.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong understanding of adhesive chemistry, materials, and manufacturing processes.
- Proven experience in product development, preferably in an industrial or manufacturing setting.
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to work cross-functionally with manufacturing, marketing, and sales.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on innovation and efficiency.
