Job Description

- Formulates and maintains quality control objectives given corporate policies and goals. - Directs quality control efforts to ensure that requirements for processing raw and packaging materials into finished goods and products conform to quality standards. - Creates and implements inspection criteria and procedures. - Provides inspection activity for product throughout production cycle. - Develops and analyzes statistical data and product specifications to determine present standards and establishes proposed quality and reliability expectancy of finished goods. - Works directly with production manager to schedule and control inspection activities and to enforce requirements as specified by raw materials, ingredients, products and package specifications and regulatory agencies. - Controls and monitors the quality parameters of the manufactured products on a daily basis and provides the production manager with the necessary data while minimizing wastage. - Coordinates objectives with production procedures to maximize product reliability and minimize costs. - Works with designers during new product start-ups and establishes checkpoints for testing new products and processes. - Initiates corrective action for procedural product or process deficiencies. - Ability to work creatively for quality improvement to meet customer needs; using testing, evaluation, and enhancing procedures to meet the requirements. - Preparing quality control daily reports
