Job Description
The Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Tehran is inviting applications for a full-time security guard position. The successful applicant will be expected to begin his/her work in September 2024.
Job Description:
- Monitor and control access at building entrances and vehicle gates.
- Watch alarm systems or video cameras and operate detecting/emergency equipment.
- Keep a log of all visitors.
- Write daily activity reports; provide them to the employer on request.
- Drive any personnel to meetings or events.
Requirements:
- Registered as an Iranian (license holder).
- At least 5 years of proven relevant experience in the field or in other Embassies or international organizations.
- Clean criminal record (Official document holder).
- No drug addiction (non-smokers are preferred).
- Able to communicate in English.
- Demonstrated driving skills (class 2 driver's license is required).
- Highly familiar with the map of Tehran.
- Maximum age: 40 years old (candidates below 30 ~ 40 are preferred).
- Not employed in any other public or private sector; if otherwise written approval of the current employer is required.
- Good physical or health condition (possessing martial skills is an advantage).
- Good teamwork skills and mindset.
- Serious about security issues.
- Demonstrates flexibility, both intellectually and behaviorally, to adapt to and work effectively in a variety of situations, often under demanding conditions, and to cope with the unforeseen or unexpected.
- Able to work the night shift.
- Candidates who have special technical skills, such as electricity, computers, etc., will be given priority.
Application Process:
1- Deadline: August 15th, 2024 (Late submissions will not be considered in any circumstances).
2- The following documents should be merged into 1(one) PDF file, and sent to
Embassy website with the subject line Guard (Name).
3- Resume:
- Download and fill out the application form in the attached file.
- The form should be written in English, and signed by the applicants.
4. Additional Documents:
- (Optional) All the references for the resume, including certificates for education, language, employment, and/or any other documents.
- (Optional) Recommendation letters (letters of references) upon their discretion. An applicant who submits the letters should provide the contact information of the recommenders.
- (Required) Record of a criminal conviction, which has been issued by the Public Court of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
- (Required) Drug tests from authorized medical centers.
- All documents must be accompanied by an English translation.
Note: applications that lack either document will be deemed ineligible for further process (the embassy will consider ‘receipts’ for applying those documents as invalid).
1) Applicants who have been selected for the interview will be contacted no later than August, 18th 2024. The embassy will not make any contact with the applicants who are deemed to be ineligible for further consideration.
2) The interview is expected to be held during that week on the 18th 2024. All interviews will be conducted in English, and applicants are expected to show their English proficiencies and/or their competencies at work during the evaluation process.
3) Any application that does not meet any above-mentioned conditions will not be considered in any circumstances, and any descriptions for which references are not provided will be deemed invalid in the evaluation process.
