Job Description

Job Summary:
Plan and provide engineering support for drilling operations, manage drilling services, equipment, and contractors, and coordinate the procurement of drilling materials and tendering activities to ensure the safe, efficient, and cost-effective execution of drilling operations.

Job Responsibilities:
• Design, prepare, review, and finalize well drilling programs.
• Monitor, analyze, and optimize drilling operations performance.
• Prepare and update drilling operational procedures, guidelines, and technical documentation.
• Review the technical specifications of drilling equipment, materials, and services to ensure compliance with operational requirements and applicable standards.
• Participate in the preparation of tender documents, conduct Technical Bid Evaluations (TBE), and support the selection of drilling contractors, equipment, and service providers.
• Review and technically verify contractors' performance, progress reports, invoices, and related documentation.
• Assess requirements for the fabrication or procurement of specialized drilling equipment and materials.
• Coordinate with Geology, Reservoir Engineering, Well Completion, HSE, Procurement, and other relevant departments to support drilling operations.
• Identify, assess, and manage technical, operational, and HSE risks associated with drilling activities.
• Prepare technical reports, analyze operational performance, and recommend continuous improvement initiatives.

Job Requirements:
Work Experience: Minimum 8 years of experience in drilling operations.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering (Drilling or Petroleum Production).
Language: Professional proficiency in English.

Technical Competencies:
• Proficiency in Drilling Office software.
• Proficiency in Well Plan software.
• Proficiency in Landmark software.
• Strong capability in drilling data analysis, including Rate of Penetration (ROP) and Non- Productive Time (NPT) analysis.
• Experience in casing design using Landmark software.
• Knowledge and practical competence in Well Control (IWCF).
• Strong knowledge of drilling engineering, well planning, and drilling program design.
• Strong knowledge of HSE requirements and API/IADC standards applicable to drilling operations.
