Manage and maintain the databases, and perform troubleshooting and tuning when necessary.
Configure, optimize and support Oracle relational databases focusing on reliability, availability, scalability, and maintainability.
Work with a technical group on various project requirements to ensure system compatibility for optimal performance.
Provide work with Oracle databases for Solaris/ HP-UX / Linux platforms and document databases.
Provide on-call support for databases.
Maintain transactional databases and data warehouses.
Perform SQL tuning.
Configure and maintain a physical standby database.
Perform and maintain RMAN backups and restore/recover.
Manage day-to-day tasks/activities in coordination with a team of engineers and developers to effectively meet the deliverables and schedule for the project.
Participate in the design/planning of new databases and related technology.
Implement ODI, OGG, jobs, and scripts to support the applications and interfaces between them.
Manage Oracle Audits.
Work closely with business and analytical staff to define new project requirements.
Work with users to identify and develop system requirements taking into account security best practices, desired results, hardware limitations, and operating requirements.
Requirements
5 to 7 years of experience as an Oracle Database Administrator.
Experience administering, monitoring, and maintaining Oracle RAC 11g/12c/19c including backup and restore.
Experience with enterprise performance and HA monitoring.
Experience with database backup and restoration.
Experience with Oracle standalone and RAC installation, configuration, and administration.
Experience with Oracle storage management, backup, and recovery.
Experience with SQL and application performance tuning techniques.
Experience with PL/SQL troubleshooting and programming experience.
Able to design database tables.
Familiar with the first, second, and third standard forms.
Experience with Oracle Database, cluster ware upgrade, and patch experience/techniques.
Experience with general application High Availability experience and understanding.
Experience with Oracle Partitioning, LOBs, and other VLDB concepts.
Experience with Oracle Data Guard configuration and administration.
Experience with Oracle's advanced security experience and techniques.
Experience with other database replication techniques.
