Job Description

The spare parts manager is responsible for managing the technical workshop, overseeing the spare parts warehouse, and leading the procurement of spare parts to ensure the stability of production line operations. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and supply chain management skills.

Key Responsibilities:

Spare Parts Warehouse Management:

  • Oversee the to ensure availability and proper storage.
  • Implement and maintain an efficient inventory control system (FIFO, stock rotation, etc.).
  • Coordinate with production teams to forecast spare part needs.

Spare Parts Procurement  and Vendor Management:

  • Develop and implement an effective spare parts procurement strategy.
  • Identify the suppliers to ensure cost-effective and timely procurement.
  • Work closely with finance to optimize procurement budgets.
  • Ensure all purchases comply with company policies.
  • Collaborate with finance and procurement teams for budget planning and cost control.

Technical Workshop Management:

  • Supervise a team of technicians providing maintenance and technical support for production lines.
  • Ensure timely and effective troubleshooting of machinery to minimize downtime.
  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs.

Performance Monitoring and Reporting:

  • Develop Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for workshop efficiency, spare parts availability, and procurement effectiveness.
  • Generate reports on inventory, procurement activities, and maintenance performance.
  • Continuously improve processes based on data-driven insights.
