Job Description

Formula Governance:

• Develop batch cards and BOMs for the new recipe and take required approvals.
• Implements the new recipe in the factory or co-packers.
• Liaise with operations for the inputs on BOMs.
• Upload documentation of the recipe changes and approvals in the Q-Pulse.

Scale-Up:

• Lead scale-up of the recipe from the R&D lab to the pilot plant.
• Further scale-up from R&D pilot plant to factory or co-packer.
• Trains the quality and operations teams on the requirements of the formulation changes.
• Complete and share required documentation and log sheets with the operations and quality teams.

Co-Packer and Suppliers:

• Support the supply chain team to develop and qualify new co-packers and new suppliers from a technical point of view.
• Ensure complete documentation for the qualifications and internal approvals.
• Maintain and audit existing suppliers and co-packers.
• Impart training to the co-packers for new product development.
• Closely work with suppliers to improve the quality standards where required.
• Provide technical support to copackers and suppliers.

Raw Materials:

• Manage the evaluation of raw materials and material substitutes on vendor qualification, product specification, and cost to ensure the applicability of materials to products.
• Conduct regular and seasonal visits to raw material suppliers in pursuit of raw materials development in tandem with the head of purchasing with the end in view to have the flexibility of supply at the lowest possible cost and high quality.

Quality and Troubleshooting:

• Support quality and project manager with consumer complaints on technical
• Support operations on troubleshooting.

Packaging:

• Liaise with the Quality and operation teams to develop packaging BOMs.
• Lead development of new packaging material with quality teams.

Reports:

• Generate regular and special reports for the line manager and the business that summarize and forecast business activities and escalate critical issues to provide effective recommendations in meeting the key challenges.
