Position Summary:

• Ensures that inbound deliveries get to their destinations safely, on time, and in the most cost-effective way.

A DAY IN THE LIFE …

• Maintain and manage all databases relating to transportation activities.
• Consult with customs agents and forwarders to obtain delivery orders from the shipping lines and forwarding companies.
• Ensure receipt of original B/L prior to shipments' arrival at port/customs
• Track the status of the consignments and alert the import team if any potential demurrage cost.
• Monitor all logistics aspects of import operations with close contact with the factory logistics team as well as the MENA transport team to ensure on on-time arrival of the shipments.
• Manage inland transit of goods from southern ports to the Qazvin factory
• Conduct freight forwarding companies' performance evaluations on a monthly basis.
• Constantly review the E2E of the transportation process, challenge the common practices, identify and close the gaps, and improve the process's efficiencies.
• Initiate cost-efficiency measures in transportation operations.
• Attend the relevant projects meetings; add necessary activities to their Gantt Chart; follow the steps and respect the timeline to ensure contributing to the on-time launch of the projects.
• Check and confirm the accuracy of service provider's invoices, release parked/blocked invoices, and track the payments.
• Track the status of the consignments to revert to the lines on time.

What Will Make You Successful?

• At least 5 years of relevant and successful operational experience in international logistics.

Relevant Operational Experience in the Following Areas is Beneficial:

• Import/Export;
• Good written and spoken communication skills;
• Good knowledge of MS Office;
