Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements: automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery, re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability, etc.
Collaborate with other teams to meet the needs of customers.
Support data transformation, data structures, metadata, dependency, and workload management.
Requirements:
Working Oracle knowledge and experience working with relational databases, query authoring (SQL) as well as working familiarity with a variety of databases.
Experience performing root cause analysis on internal and external data and processes to answer specific business questions and identify opportunities for improvement.
More than one year of experience in a data engineering role.
Experience with Oracle Storage Management, Backup, and Recovery.
SQL and application performance tuning techniques.
PL/SQL troubleshooting and programming experience.
Oracle database upgrade and patch experience/techniques.
Provide semi-on-call support for databases (one time in a month).
Experience with Oracle Standalone and RAC installation, configuration, and administration.
Desired Skills:
Deep knowledge of SQL OR PL/SQL.Experience with Oracle 11g/12c/19c administration.
Oracle Partitioning, LOBs, and other VLDB concepts.
Experience with analytical databases multidimensional modeling, and OLAP.
Familiar with ETL tools.
Ability to analyze and solve problems related to data.Ability to work in a team with the right attitude to play a role in the team.
Ability to work with Python/Knime/SQL/Excel data analysis tools and languages.
Ability to create or optimize models and algorithms related to statistical problems, data mining, and machine learning.
Ability to create dashboards to display model outputs and provide reports to management.
Experience working with large-scale data and familiarity with the payment and banking industry will be preferred.
