Job Description

  • Monitor and lead the monthly/quarterly financial close process including accruals and account analysis, cash postings, revenue accounting, and account reconciliations, prepayments, ensuring all activities are completed in a timely and accurate manner;
  • Assist in the supervision of all accounting procedures and systems used by the organization
  • Meet your targets and those of the team as a whole including, but not limited to:
  • Prepare accurate management information including, statistical data, financial statement preparation, and management reports, on a timely basis;
  • Prepare various regulatory returns (monthly, annual, etc);
  • Contribute to training, performance, and development of the team
  • Assist in complying with all financial and legal requirements, responsibilities, and obligations
  • Orient and train new accounting employees; design employee schedules and coach, counsel, mentor, and discipline employees.
  • Close communication with the auditors during the statutory audit: preparation of PBC list and documents required by the auditors, response to auditors' requests on documentary evidence, entries made, adjustments required, and ability to defend Company reporting position. Responses to external auditors’ requests from our counterparties.
  • Supervise and prepare current financial reports and forecasts for future business growth including budgets, income statements, balance sheets, tax returns, and reports for regulatory agencies; financial management reports to ensure compliance with financial and legal requirements and deliverables such as:
  1. Monthly reports;
  2. Intercompany invoices;
  • Verify payment amounts against invoices and approval of transfers
  • Maintain accurate financial and other records and documentation
  • Control expenses to meet agreed budgetary controls
  • Perform financial audit and prepare audit reports as per direction of supervisor
  • Identify ways to streamline accounting operations and develop best practices to enhance operational performance and productivity

Other Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Data entry and clear bookkeeping and check control.
  • Contracts checking, insurance invoices, and contracts in place
  • Prepare admin cost reports based on monthly expenses.
  • Maintain database and check control of data accuracy.
