Job Description

We are looking for a QEHS Engineer for our Rudeshour Power Plant to:

  • Support the QHSE manager as an expert in planning, training, documenting, communicating, reporting, and controlling all QEHS issues at the Power Plant. The QEHS Engineer directly reports to the QHSE manager in the case of quality, environmental, health, and safety. In specialized QEHS matters the reporting line is additionally to the QEHS Engineer in the O&M Headquarters (HQ Incorporate all planning, training, drills, documentation, communication, reporting, and operational control of Q&EHS. Processes must be monitored and measured, nonconformances have to be detected, corrective and preventive measures implemented and a continuous improvement process must be established. Internal audits must be supported and regular annual Management Reviews (MR) performed and documented. The operation and maintenance team must be supported in any kind of Q&EHS-related issues at the Power Plant.
  • Establish and maintain the quality, environment, health, and safety management systems
  • Prepare the local Q&EHS documentation for the O&M business at the Power Plant and keep it up to date
  • Investigate the existing Siemens Energy Q&EHS management system and communicate it to all staff
  • Ensure compliance with product, legal, and other requirements, especially regarding Q&EHS
  • Detect the applicable requirements for Power Plants
  • Communicate them to all staff
  • Ensure the compliance of all O&M processes to these requirements

Detect Q&EHS Aspects, Identify Hazards, and perform Risk Assessments

  • Detect the aspects to be considered.
  • Identify all hazards that might occur.
  • Perform regular risk assessments.
  • Communicate the results to all staff.
  • Plan Q&EHS targets, objectives, and programs.
  • Set single targets.
  • Develop detailed long-term objectives.
  • Establish and document Q&EHS programs (e.g.: incl. responsible, measures, due date).
  • Plan and perform Q&EHS training to increase awareness and competence.
  • Suggest the Q&EHS training and drills in regular intervals.
  • Perform Q&EHS training and drills continuously.
  • Document all training and drills.
  • Increase awareness and improve competence continuously.

Communicate all Q&EHS activities:

  • The management system documentation;
  • The planning process;
  • The targets, objectives, and programs;
  • The training and drills;

Control Documents, Records, and Data to Q&EHS:

  • Review the Q&EHS procedures and forms.
  • Documents and data are released before publishing.
  • Ensure that the modifications are marked.
  • Ensure that the versions and revisions are done and documented.
  • Ensure that the external documents are marked accordingly.
  • Ensure that the unintended use of obsolete documents is avoided.

Q&EHS Management Reviews:

  • Support the performance of O&M internal Q&EHS Management Reviews (MR).
  • Support approval and release of the annual MR.
  • Provide the Q&EHS Management Reviews (MR) data and statistics to the Q&EHS manager.

Emergency Preparedness and Response:

  • Erect safety plans and signs.
  • Perform regular trainings and drills.
  • Establish life-saving rules.
  • Document it and communicate it.
  • Support the Q&EHS team to update and upgrade the Emergency response procedures and processes.
  • Check, monitor, measure, analyze Q&EHS processes regularly.
  • Check and monitor the list, databases, and IT- tools.
  • Measure to Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Analyze data regularly.

Requirements

  • Experience as a Q&EHS Engineer.
  • Several years of experience in the erection, commissioning, operation, or maintenance of power plants.
  • Several years of experience in other areas of responsibility (e.g.: Oil& Gas Business) for foreign countries or companies.
  • Familiar with Quality Management System ISO 9001.
  • Familiar with Environmental Management System ISO 14001.
  • Familiar with Health and Safety Management System ISO 45001.
  • Familiar with Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment.
  • Know how to produce, legal and other requirements.
  • Know how to Q&EHS targets, objectives, and programs.
  • Familiar with Personality for professional training and drills.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Documentation skills.
  • Familiar with non-conformances/corrective, preventive actions systematic.
  • Familiar with problem analysis and problem-solving methods.
  • Familiar with product safety solutions.
  • Familiar with MS Office.
  • Familiar with English.
  • Power plant know-how.
  • Team player.
