Job Description
We seek a highly skilled planning and optimization specialist to join our team. In this role, you will play a critical role in driving operational excellence through process optimization, data-driven decision-making, and planning within our organization, with a specific focus on the Fulfillment Center (FC) operations. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities, gather data, analyze complex problems, and provide actionable insights that drive operational efficiencies and strategic decision-making.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and implement advanced optimization models, algorithms, and simulation techniques to solve complex business problems.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify optimization opportunities, define project objectives, and develop innovative solutions.
- Apply statistical analysis, and data mining methods to extract insights and drive decision-making.
- Identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies within the organization and propose innovative solutions.
- Prepare periodic reports to management, detailing planning targets vs actuals, analyzing differences, and proposing innovative solutions to address variances.
- Create and maintain optimization models using industry-leading software and tools.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement and deploy optimization solutions, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Communicate findings, insights, and recommendations to non-technical stakeholders in a clear and concise manner, facilitating understanding and informed decision-making
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, or a related field; A Master's degree is preferred.
- Experience in applying optimization modeling, mathematical models, and simulation techniques.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, and R with experience in handling and analyzing large datasets.
- Experience with optimization software such as CPLEX, or GAMS.
- Solid understanding of statistical analysis, data mining, and predictive modeling techniques.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Power BI, Tableau, or related data visualization and automated report tools is a plus.
- High level of proficiency in English, both written and verbal.
- Ability to conduct research in English and effectively analyze and synthesize information from academic papers, industry reports, and other sources.
- Demonstrated self-learning attitude and motivation to continuously learn and stay updated with the latest advancements in optimization models, algorithms, and data analysis techniques.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
