Role Overview:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Purchasing Supervisor to join our procurement team. You will be responsible for managing the supply chain, from sourcing to final delivery of necessary items and materials for industrial and construction projects. Your ability to manage time effectively and your negotiation skills will play a key role in the successful execution of our projects.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Project Needs Analysis: Thoroughly review purchase requisitions, drawings, and technical documentation to precisely identify required items, equipment, and construction materials.
Supplier Evaluation: Search, identify, and technically and commercially evaluate reputable suppliers (manufacturers and traders) in accordance with project standards.
Quotation & Comparison: Obtain and analyze price quotations from multiple vendors and prepare detailed Technical & Commercial Bid Comparison tables.
Commercial Negotiations: Conduct professional negotiations to secure the best prices, optimal payment terms, precise delivery schedules, and necessary warranties/guarantees.
Order Management: Issue purchase orders and track the internal and client approval processes.
Logistics & Delivery: Continuously monitor and follow up on the procurement process up to the final delivery of goods to the project site or warehouse.
Control & Compliance: Examine purchasing documents and ensure strict compliance with contracts, invoices, shipping documents (Bill of Lading/Packing List), and quality standards.
Cross-Departmental Coordination: Establish effective and continuous communication with the technical department (for specification approvals), finance department (for payments), warehouse, and project planning.
Crisis Management: Prioritize and manage the procurement of critical items and pre-purchases to prevent delays in project execution operations.
Documentation: Systematically archive and file all purchasing documents and correspondence, both physically and digitally.
Qualifications and Requirements:

Expertise: Full command of project-based procurement and industrial supply chain processes.
Technical Knowledge: Accurate understanding of various industrial items, equipment, and construction materials (steel, fittings, mechanical & electrical components, building materials, etc.) and the ability to interpret technical drawings.
Negotiation Skills: Ability to establish effective communication and persuade vendors and suppliers.
Time Management: High capability in prioritizing tasks and working under pressure with severe time constraints typical of construction projects.
Accuracy & Reporting: High attention to detail in data entry, order specifics, and preparing transparent, documented reports for project management.
Soft Skills: Familiarity with office software (especially Excel).
