Job Description

The sales engineer is responsible for driving sales of protective coatings and marine paints by developing and maintaining client relationships, providing technical expertise, and conducting product presentations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the protective coatings and marine paint sectors.
  • Client Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions.
  • Technical Support: Provide technical assistance and product knowledge to clients, ensuring they understand the benefits and applications of our products.
  • Market Analysis: Conduct market research to identify trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences, and report findings to management.
  • Training and Demonstrations: Organize and conduct product demonstrations and training sessions for clients and distributors.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the marketing and product development teams to provide feedback on customer needs and market trends.
  • Sales Reporting: Prepare and present regular sales reports, forecasts, and plans to management.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in sales or technical support in the paint or coatings industry.
  • Strong understanding of protective coatings and marine paint applications.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.
