The B2B sales manager typically has a wide range of responsibilities, which can include:
- Perform duties in alignment with the company’s mission, vision, and values.
- Manage all corporate selling operations and activities.
- Motivate and lead a high-performing sales team through training, empowerment, support, and effective performance management.
- Achieve sales targets through the acquisition of new clients and growing business from existing clients.
- Research the target industry to discover prospecting opportunities.
- Establish sales opportunities through networking, building relationships, and conducting outdoor activities.
- Plan and execute cold outreach in the form of emails and calls to attract new leads.
- Prospect and qualify potential clients, leads, and referrals, identifying decision makers and delivering the ideal value propositions.
- Attend and actively participate in regular sales meetings.
- Conduct product demos and handle questions, rejections, and objections.
- Facilitate communication with the assigned account manager and constant communication to ensure client satisfaction.
- Utilize and manage customer relationship management system (CRM) to maintain all clients and lead information.
- Prepare periodic sales reports.
