Job Description
Main Tasks and Responsibilities:
Reporting, Planning & Budgeting:
- Oversee the preparation and presentation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Analyze financial performance against targets and provide insights and recommendations to management.
- Prepare annual operating and capital budgets Preparation of monthly budgets and forecasts
- Create timely and accurate accounting reports and present them to the company's executives and senior management
- Review and analyze financial data and create reports on financial status based on the analysis results
- Participate in business planning preparation
- Take part in forecasting and financial standards-setting processes.
Strategy:
- Develop recommendations to optimize the company's accounting systems and procedures and detect inaccuracies.
- Prepare rolling forecasts that provide updates on financial expectations throughout the fiscal year, incorporating actual performance and market analysis.
- Develop financial models to assess the impact of strategic initiatives on the company’s financial position.
- Participate in the department’s goal-setting activities and month-end and year-end close processes.
- Support business processes and accounting policies and prepare corresponding documentation.
- Ensure that accounting procedures comply with GAAP/IFRS requirements Work together with peers to optimize financial operations.
Control & Monitoring:
- Control different businesses' profitability.
- Review and manage GL accounts.
- Control account trends, and identify out-of-rhythm accounts make sure proper adjustment or justification.
- Control and manage Marketing provisions and alignment with the marketing team on expenditures.
- Monthly and annual COGS analysis and the root cause of changes.
- Oversee Intercompany accounts reconciliation.
- Monitor monthly reports and comparisons with PY and budget to keep on track.
Create Monitoring Tools:
- Lead project manager of Bi system
- Create business needs reports to make sure every financial aspect of a business is being monitored effectively and efficiently.
Team Management:
- Manage team and train successor for the position.
- Make sure teams are aligned on company strategy.
- Create good relationships with all departments in a company.
- Train managers and seniors of non-financial departments on financial reports and terms.
Requirements:
- At least a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, or Finance.
- At least 5 years of experience working as a financial/business controller, accounting manager, or finance senior controller.
- A certification such as ACCA, CIMA, or CPA will be a bonus.
- Good experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process.
- Good knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and IFRS Good practical experience with accounting software packages.
- Good knowledge of financial accounting statements and business trends,
- Good understanding of MS Office, especially Excel.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with accuracy and attention to detail,
- Ability to meet deadlines.
- English knowledge.
- Good time management skills.
- Fully conversant with MS Office, especially expert in Excel.
- Good presentation skills.
