About the department:

You will be joining the marketing and customer engagement team at Novo Nordisk Iran. Our team is focused on driving the commercial success of our insulin and other product portfolios. We work in a dynamic and collaborative environment where innovation and excellence are at the forefront of everything we do. Our office is in Tehran, providing a unique and exciting opportunity to make a significant impact in the region. The role will directly report to the general manager.

The position:

As a marketing and customer engagement director at Novo Nordisk, your primary role is to define marketing strategies for Insulin and other portfolios to achieve their goals while ensuring commercial effectiveness through CE processes.

  • Collaborate with business teams to uncover insights, develop strategies, and implement internal and external marketing and branding for existing products.
  • Oversee and grow the marketing department, identifying revenue opportunities within the client base and securing new accounts for growth.
  • Manage short- and long-term scheduling, budgets, and resources, including profit/loss projections, expenditure management, and financial planning.
  • Lead, motivate, and develop team members while fostering a high-performance culture.
  • Adhere to Business Ethics procedures, local laws, Novo Nordisk Way, policies and guidelines.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Science, Business, or a relevant field, with an advanced degree (e.g., MBA).
  • Strong proficiency in English, both written and verbal.
  • At least 10 years of progressive marketing experience in the pharmaceutical industry, with at least 5 years in people management.
  • Strong experience in people management, including leading and developing high-performing teams.
  • Deep, end-to-end expertise in marketing, from analysis and insights to strategy development and tactical execution, with proven success in rare disease commercialization.
