Review, comment, and approve the documents and procedures of the Safety department in Oil, Gas, and petrochemical projects.
Prepare tender documents.
Coordinate with other engineering disciplines, vendors, and clients.
Work will range from conceptual studies to detailed engineering.
Provide advice and consultation to department staff to assist them in maintaining a safe working environment in compliance with environmental/safety regulations, standards, and practices.
Identify and evaluate hazardous conditions and practices in the workplace. Undertake surveys to identify and evaluate occupational health, safety, and environmental conditions.
Participate in various process safety studies/activities, such as PHAs, HAZOPs, JSAs, PSSRs, SIMOPs, incident investigations, compliance reviews, or insurance surveys. Participate in or lead risk studies or conduct consequence analyses.
Review engineering designs for compliance with company and industry safety standards.
Site visits may be required.
Requirements
Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD’s degree.
At least 10 years of work experience in safety engineering (as a designer, and MC).
Proficient in related national and international codes and standards.
Proficient in related software.
Knowledge or training in occupational health, safety, and environmental compliance within the Oil/Gas or petrochemical industry.
