Job Description

  • Review, comment, and approve the documents and procedures of the Safety department in Oil, Gas, and petrochemical projects.
  • Prepare tender documents.
  • Coordinate with other engineering disciplines, vendors, and clients.
  • Work will range from conceptual studies to detailed engineering.
  • Provide advice and consultation to department staff to assist them in maintaining a safe working environment in compliance with environmental/safety regulations, standards, and practices.
  • Identify and evaluate hazardous conditions and practices in the workplace. Undertake surveys to identify and evaluate occupational health, safety, and environmental conditions.
  • Participate in various process safety studies/activities, such as PHAs, HAZOPs, JSAs, PSSRs, SIMOPs, incident investigations, compliance reviews, or insurance surveys. Participate in or lead risk studies or conduct consequence analyses.
  • Review engineering designs for compliance with company and industry safety standards.
  • Site visits may be required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD’s degree.
  • At least 10 years of work experience in safety engineering (as a designer, and MC).
  • Proficient in related national and international codes and standards.
  • Proficient in related software.
  • Knowledge or training in occupational health, safety, and environmental compliance within the Oil/Gas or petrochemical industry.
