About the role:

We are seeking an experienced Procurement Team Lead to join our team. In this role, you will lead the entire procurement process, from sourcing and negotiation to delivery and payment, ensuring efficiency and compliance at every step. Collaborate with key stakeholders to implement strategic procurement initiatives, optimize supplier relationships, and drive cost-saving opportunities, contributing to the overall success of our organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and design the entire procurement process, from sourcing and purchasing to delivery and payment.
  • Develop and implement procurement strategies and procedures to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
  • Identify, evaluate, and select appropriate vendors or suppliers based on quality, price, reliability, and service level.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements with vendors to obtain the best terms and conditions.
  • Establish and maintain inventory levels to meet business requirements while minimizing excess inventory and carrying costs.
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings and implement cost reduction initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements throughout the procurement process.
  • Identify and mitigate procurement-related risks to minimize potential disruptions to operations.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to foster collaboration and drive continuous improvement.
  • Prepare regular reports and analyses on procurement activities, including spending trends, supplier performance, and cost-saving initiatives.
  • Provide recommendations and insights to management based on data-driven analysis.
  • Implement best practices and innovative solutions to drive improvements in procurement operations.
  • Manage the procurement team, providing leadership and support to ensure effective performance.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in procurement, preferably in a managerial role.
  • Knowledge of the automotive industry.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to analyze data and make data-driven decisions.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a team.
  • In-depth knowledge of procurement processes, procedures, and best practices.
  • Familiarity with vendor management concepts and regulations.
  • Excellent negotiation and contract management skills.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and systems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
