Job Overview:
We seek an experienced and results-driven sales and business development manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving business growth by increasing the number of received tenders and securing new projects in the oil and gas, energy, and large industrial sectors. This role also involves promoting our company's brand and services within these industries, expanding our market presence, and establishing strong relationships with key stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Tender Acquisition: Identify, pursue, and secure new tender opportunities in the oil and gas and related industries. Work closely with internal teams to ensure timely and accurate tender responses.
- Project Development: Develop strategies to increase the number of projects, focusing on client acquisition, lead generation, and partnership building within large-scale industries.
- Market Research: Conduct in-depth market research to identify emerging trends, customer needs, and competitor activity in the energy, oil and gas, and infrastructure sectors.
- Relationship Building: Establish and maintain long-term relationships with key clients, industry partners, and stakeholders. Ensure continuous engagement with clients to foster trust and secure repeat business.
- Company Promotion: Actively promote the company’s capabilities and expertise in oil and gas and other big industries by attending trade shows, conferences, and industry networking events.
- Sales Strategy: Collaborate with the marketing and operations teams to create and implement effective sales strategies that align with the company’s goals. Provide input on product development and service enhancements.
- Pipeline Management: Maintain and manage a pipeline of potential projects, ensuring a clear forecast of opportunities and driving them through the sales process to completion.
- Reporting & KPIs: Develop sales reports and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of business development initiatives and adjust strategies accordingly.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field (an MBA degree is preferred).
- At least 5 years of experience in sales or business development, preferably in the oil and gas, energy, or large industrial sectors.
- Proven track record of successfully securing tenders and winning large projects.
- Strong understanding of the tendering process and project lifecycle in the industrial sectors.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship management skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Knowledge of industry-specific trends and regulatory environments within oil and gas and industrial sectors.
- Willingness to travel for client meetings, industry events, and site visits.
