Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL) was officially established on August 17, 1992.Airlines is the flag carrier airline of Azerbaijan. It is based at Heydar Aliyev International Airport, Baku. More than one million passengers fly the airline each year. Airline is connecting Imam Khomeini airport with 14 weekly flights to a network of scheduled routes throughout CIS, the Middle East, Europe, Asia and US.AZAL has plans to start operation to Tabriz and other major cities in Iran in the near future.
