In 2007, China Southern Airlines carried 56 Million passengers, ranked as the largest airline in China for 28 consecutive years - based on annual passenger traffic volume. The airline is now firmly positioned as one of the worlds Top 10 passenger airlines, the only carrier in mainland China so honored. As of the end of 2006, China Southern Airlines had achieved more than 3 Million safe flight hours and was honored the Three-Star Safety Award by the General Administration of Civil Aviation of China (CAAC)  the current most prestigious award in safe flight operations in the Chinese aviation industry.
