Rehabilitation of Fertilizing Plants in CPAMC:

RAMPCO Group entered the Venezuelan market in 2013 after conducting extensive research. Focusing on petrochemical and refinery maintenance projects, partnered with Pequiven in 2020 to collaborate on projects. In 2022, RAMPCO secured a contract to rehabilitate the ammonia unit of the Ana Maria Campos petrochemical complex (CPAMC), beginning its operations in September 2023.

Position Summary:

You will ensure the safe, efficient, and smooth operation of the plant during the pre-commissioning, commissioning, and operation phases.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage the shift operations, ensuring smooth execution of commissioning activities.
  • Monitor plant operating conditions and direct adjustments as needed.
  • Supervise panel operators and field operators in handling different process units, including compressors, gas units, MEA, ammonia production, and tanks.
  • Coordinate with maintenance, HSE, and process engineering teams to troubleshoot and resolve plant issues.
  • Ensure adherence to safety protocols and operational procedures during the commissioning and startup phases.
  • Lead emergency response efforts during process upsets or safety incidents.
  • Train and mentor operators to enhance their technical skills and operational awareness.

Requirements:

  • At least 5+ years of experience in ammonia plant operations.
  • Prior experience in commissioning and overhauling of petrochemical plants.
  • Strong background in process control, troubleshooting, and emergency handling.
  • Proficiency in English.
  • Eager to learn/ proficiency in Spanish.
  • Knowledge of the industry standards such as API, ASME, ASTM, ISO, NFPA, and OSHA.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills.
