Job Description

The B2B sales director is responsible for overseeing and driving the sales operations within the business-to-business sector. This role involves strategic planning, team leadership, and direct involvement in high-level sales activities to achieve company revenue goals. The B2B sales director will work directly with CEOs the Executive team, and staff members to enhance customer satisfaction and expand the company's market presence.

  • Work in partnership across supply and demand networks to ensure that sales targets are hit and to define action plans to rectify issues.
  • Explore business ideas and take initiatives for enhancing market share and sales.
  • Prepare a detailed commercial business/expansion plan based on market research and historical data and communicate it to the team.
  • Propose data-driven business solutions (based on detailed cost-benefit) analysis to top management.
  • Showcase the ability to simplify complex problems into parts, evaluate, solve, and execute systematically.
  • Negotiate and close high-value deals, ensuring alignment with company policies and goals.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies to meet corporate objectives.
  • Maintain performance management system, set KPIs, monitor results, provide feedback, and improve the performance of each team member.
  • Make decisions in critical situations and help the team work under pressure.
  • Recognize and use various methods to acknowledge the success of team members.
  • Critical characteristics include accepting responsibility for the entire scope of work of the business vertical.

Requirements:

  • At least 7 to 10 years of experience in B2B sales, with at least 3 to 5 years of experience in a leadership role.
  • Strong business judgment backed by an analytical mindset and comfort in generating and evaluating various forecasts, metrics, and analyses.
  • Proven track record of dealing effectively with others in difficult situations; using appropriate interpersonal styles and methods to reduce tension or conflict between two or more people.
  • Innovative problem-solving skills; dissecting root causes of problems and implementing solutions.
