Job Summary

The Business Development Manager is accountable for the end-to-end performance, growth, and profitability of the assigned business portfolio. This role owns its strategy, commercial results, customer value proposition, and Profit & Loss (P&L), while coordinating closely with Product, Technology, Marketing, Operations, Finance, and other relevant functions.
The Business Development Manager acts as the primary point of accountability for translating company priorities and market opportunities into measurable business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

- Identify and develop new growth opportunities, revenue streams, partnerships, and market segments.
- Define and execute commercial strategies aligned with the company’s overall objectives.
- Own the P&L of the assigned business portfolio, including revenue, margin, costs, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Monitor business performance, identify key drivers and gaps, and lead corrective actions.
- Collaborate with Product, Technology, Marketing, Operations, and Finance to achieve business targets.
- Improve pricing, unit economics, customer value proposition, and operational efficiency.
- Lead cross-functional initiatives from opportunity assessment through execution and performance review.
- Provide regular performance reports, business insights, and recommendations to senior management.
- Identify and lead AI-enabled initiatives that improve business growth, customer experience, partner management, and operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with Product, Technology, and Data teams to pilot AI solutions, measure their impact, and scale successful use cases.

Qualifications

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of relevant experience, preferably in e-commerce, online marketplaces, or other digital businesses.
- Strong business and financial acumen, with the ability to interpret financial statements and performance data.
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills, with proficiency in Excel and familiarity with business intelligence tools.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and executive presentation skills.
- Ability to influence stakeholders and lead cross-functional initiatives without direct authority.
- Comfortable working with ambiguity, managing competing priorities, and making informed decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- Practical experience using generative AI and automation tools for research, analysis, decision-making, and business workflows.
- Ability to identify valuable AI use cases while understanding AI limitations, data confidentiality, and responsible-use principles.
- Professional proficiency in English is preferred.
