Job Description

Mission:
To integrate the divisional and regional finance administration and be the inter-divisional / regional link with Financial Operations providing input on financial and divisional/regional administrative and managerial matters.

Education:
Bachelor degree in Financial Management or Accounting
A professional accounting qualification is advantageous

Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in the area of specialization; with experience in supervising/managing others
Experience working in a medium to large organization
Experience in Financial Management in telecom environment
Extensive managerial experience in the sphere of finance and internal control systems

Roles & Responsibilities:
To manage the finance operation of internal teams, regions and other departments within company
To render financial administrative services to division, regions and other departments within the divisions.
To ensure alignment of the budget and its expenditure with operational plans of the division, regions and other departments within the divisions.
To ensure that the divisions, regions and other departments within the divisions meet all the requirements of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and International Accounting Standards.
To control and monitor the financial functions of regions.
To provide support in identifying and managing risk in terms of financial recourses, and develop and implement internal financial controls in terms of financial resources.
To support Financial Operations in developing an effective system of internal controls for the division, regions and other departments within the division.
To collaborate with other Finance Operations teams and treasury in implementation of departmental Fraud and Corruption prevention plans related with cash.
To review and monitor the implementation of delegations to accountants in regions.
To manage cash flow of petty cash and utilization as per approved policy
To review and approve monthly reports regarding business advance payments and payments to all cashiers prepared by the accountants and manage tight reporting deadlines.
To set up and implement best practice processes and procedures, financial control and support to the regions and other divisions, resulting in divisional function’s development and maintenance.
To prepare and present reporting to support management decision-making.
To monitor access of accountants in regions.
To provide support to managers and other staff members on financial issues.
To review performance regional accountants and ensure they attend to staff requirements as planned.
