Chief Accountant

Job Description

• Provide overall efficient accounting for Iranian legal entities according to local legislation and IFRS.
• Prepare financial statements according to Iranian legislation.
• Prepare financial statements according to IFRS.
• Control over tax calculation and reporting (including payroll taxes).
• Control over payroll calculation, and business trips.
• Manage the period closure process.
• Control over bank payments.
• Control entries in the accounting system.
• Contracts verification.
• Manage relationships with the headquarters, suppliers, banks, tax authorities, and external auditors.
• Manage the inventory taking process.
• Lead and develop accounting team (up to 6 FTE).

Requirements:

• Experience working in the Oil and Gas industry with buy-back contracts is preferable.
• Relevant experience in audit and costing is advantageous.
• Experience in payroll calculation and accounting is a must.
• Experience in Iranian tax and reporting is a must.
• Excellent software skills, especially MS Excel.
• Fluent in verbal and written English (upper-intermediate level or higher).
• Excellent strategic planning skills and ability to interact with all levels.
• Able to multitask and open to adapt to changing business requirements.
