Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Install, configure, and upgrade Oracle server software and related products.
  • Establish and maintain sound backup and recovery policies and procedures utilizing RMAN, Data Guard, and evolving technologies.
  • Implement and maintain database security utilizing DoD (Department of Defense) STIGs (Security Technical Implementation Guides) and best practices.
  • Perform database tuning and performance monitoring utilizing AWR, Enterprise Manager, and other tools.
  • Set up and maintain documentation to conform to DoD standards for obtaining and maintaining ATO on the DoD network.
  • Create database design and architecture documentation to support current and future Oracle database requirements.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues and provide documented guidance for resolution.

Requirements

  • Oracle Database Certified Professional (OCP) (preferred).
  • Expert level understanding utilizing Oracle databases.
  • Ability to perform both Oracle and operating system performance tuning and monitoring.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field with 3+ years of experience as an Oracle Database Administrator.
