About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and commercially minded Finance Manager to lead the finance function for our client’s operations in Iran. Our client is a multinational company operating in the financial infrastructure industry, and this role will play a critical part in ensuring financial integrity, regulatory compliance, and effective financial management across the local business.
This role will oversee all accounting, financial reporting, taxation, treasury, and internal control activities for the Iran entity, ensuring financial integrity, regulatory compliance, and effective support for business operations.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead and oversee all accounting, financial reporting, treasury, and tax activities for the Iran entity, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting.
• Ensure full compliance with local tax, statutory, and regulatory requirements, including tax filings, audits, and interactions with relevant authorities.
• Manage cash flow, liquidity, and working capital to support business operations and financial sustainability.
• Establish and maintain effective internal controls, continuously improving financial processes and ensuring adherence to corporate policies and governance standards.
• Lead and develop the finance and accounting team while partnering closely with local and regional stakeholders to support business objectives.
What You Bring
• Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in accounting and finance, including at least 3 years in a managerial or team leadership role.
• Strong hands-on experience in taxation, including preparation and submission of tax returns and direct involvement in tax audit processes.
• In-depth knowledge of Iranian tax regulations, direct and indirect taxes, and statutory reporting requirements.
• Proven experience in preparing financial statements and managing month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Strong knowledge of internal controls, treasury management, and financial reporting practices.
• Experience working in multinational organizations or matrix environments is highly preferred.
• Experience in fintech, financial services, investment funds, exchange platforms, or related industries is an advantage.
• Experience with foreign currency transactions and multi-currency accounting is highly desirable.
• Advanced proficiency in accounting software, preferably Hamkaran System or Sepidar, and strong command of Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills, with a proven track record of performing effectively in fast-paced environments.
