Job Description

The HSE manager is responsible to lead and manage all aspects of health, safety, and environmental compliance within our organization. This individual will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive HSE programs, ensuring adherence to all relevant regulations and standards, and promoting a culture of safety throughout the company.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain a robust HSE Management System that aligns with industry best practices and complies with all applicable local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Conduct risk assessments and hazard identification, develop mitigation plans, and implement controls to minimize workplace risks.
  • Conduct incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action plans to prevent recurrence of accidents or incidents.
  • Develop and deliver HSE training programs for all levels of employees, ensuring competency and awareness of safety practices.
  • Conduct regular safety audits and inspections, identify non-conformances, and implement corrective actions.
  • Develop and implement environmental programs to minimize the company's impact on the environment.
  • Track and report on HSE performance metrics, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
  • Lead and manage a team of HSE professionals, providing guidance and support.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure HSE considerations are integrated into all operations and processes.
  • Stay current with industry trends, regulations, and best practices in HSE management.
  • Promote a positive safety culture throughout the organization, emphasizing proactive measures and employee involvement.
  • Participate in the development of emergency response plans and ensure the adequacy of safety equipment and resources.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Safety, Environmental, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience as an HSE manager, preferably within the industry.
  • Strong understanding of relevant HSE regulations and standards (OSHA, EPA, etc.).
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing HSE programs and policies.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Experience with safety management software and reporting tools.
  • Certification in relevant safety disciplines (e.g., CSP, CIH, etc.) is a plus.
