Manage all aspects of internal audit regarding the company's financial process.
Assist in the development of the company's annual audit plan.
Analyze financial data to identify process/control weaknesses and recommend audit and testing approaches.
Communicate key company initiatives and significant changes, such as system implementations.
Manage the performance of internal audit assignments, and review audit working papers and reports.
Plan internal audits; initiate project planning, assess risk, and develop audit directions.
Perform internal audit work, including preparing plans, working papers, findings, and reports related to verifying the accuracy of financial records regarding assets, liabilities, receipts, expenses, and related transactions.
Participate in the development, implementation, and maintenance of policies, objectives, and short-term and long-term planning; develop and execute projects and programs to help achieve established goals.
Present results to the senior management and audit committee.
Design and develop procedures to ensure that the information needed to provide assurance is collected in a manner that is efficient, accurate, reliable, and effective.
Proactively anticipate and address risks and issues to minimize impact on the organization.
Report to management on asset utilization and audit results and recommend changes to financial operations and activities.
Collect and analyze data to identify inadequate controls, duplication of effort, waste, fraud, or non-compliance with laws, regulations, and management policies.
Inspect accounting books and accounting systems for efficiency, effectiveness, and use of accepted accounting methods to record transactions.
