About the role:
We seek a Legal Team Lead to lead our legal department and guide a team of talented professionals. In this role, you will oversee legal operations, provide strategic advice, and ensure compliance across the organization. You'll also collaborate with other ventures and cross-functional teams, playing a key role in driving business success while mitigating legal risks.
Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of legal professionals, offering mentorship, support, and performance management.
- Oversee the daily operations of the legal department, ensuring processes align with company objectives.
- Provide expert legal advice on complex issues and act as an escalation point for the team.
- Conduct legal research and interpret laws and regulations to provide actionable guidance.
- Draft, review, and negotiate high-level contracts, agreements, and other legal documents.
- Ensure organizational compliance with legal and regulatory requirements while managing risk effectively.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and other ventures to address legal considerations in joint initiatives.
- Handle complex legal disputes, including litigation and alternative dispute resolution.
- Develop and implement strategic legal approaches to safeguard the organization's interests.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with both internal stakeholders and external legal entities.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Law from an accredited institution (advanced legal certifications are a plus).
- At least 4 years of experience as a practicing attorney, with expertise in corporate, contract, employment, competition, and capital market law.
- Proven leadership experience, including managing and developing legal teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Demonstrated ability to build and sustain positive relationships with stakeholders.
- Strategic thinking and a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating legal risks.
- A collaborative mindset, particularly in working with diverse ventures and teams.
