Job Description

As a cross-functional team, operational excellence is a bridge between the commercial, operations, and product/tech teams, which translates the business requirements into operational processes, and technical products. The head of platform operational excellence will manage the day-to-day commercial relationships with sellers and suppliers to oversee day-to-day operations and focus on the long-term interests of the business. The manager requires recruiting, building, and managing the team, setting the team’s strategy, designing the team structure and requirements, setting the goals, explaining the vision, and delivering results in a fast-growing environment.

Roles:

  • Define and execute the road map of the sellers and supply chain solutions (marketplace and retail) by working closely with operations and product/tech teams.
  • Identify operational weaknesses and gaps by regularly deep-diving into all aspects of marketplace and retail data.
  • Create and optimize processes by understanding the current processes and status, deep diving into data, detecting the opportunities for effectiveness and efficiency increase, and optimizing the processes.
  • Build and develop strong relationships with other stakeholders and cross-functional leaders to successfully drive long-term growth and efficiency, and establish and monitor the progress of key performance indicators.
  • Define, lead, and operationalize the short-term and long-term strategy for the commercial operational excellence Team and business operations.
  • Set the cultural tone of the team and develop a strong culture of continuous improvement to consistently raise the bar of execution.
  • Plan and execute tools and processes to manage Marketplace and Retail operational scopes including supply and inbound, consignment, performance, return, inventory, and reverse logistics.
  • Standardizing retail and marketplace operational systems, business processes, and reporting processes. Identifying opportunities and gaps to improve the quality and efficiency of the operational teams’ work through automation.
  • Own the rollout of the new tools and systems through developing SOPs, requesting training materials, reporting, and tracking.
  • Monitor and drive initiatives to improve overall seller operational performance in alignment with Digikala targets while ensuring the highest customer and seller experience level.
  • * Identifying opportunities and gaps to improve the quality, effectiveness, and efficiency of the operational teams and work through standardization and automation.
  • * Monitoring and managing overall supplier and sellers’ operational performance in alignment with Digikala targets.
  • Driving Strategic initiative to improve Digikala supplier and seller performance and support assortment growth.
  • Supporting the team in visiting/contacting/coaching sellers and actively analyzing operational issues and root causes at Digikala 3rd party sellers.
  • Monitoring and reviewing the success of implementations continuously and leading process optimization.
  • Execute on-request tasks from the business.

Requirements

Minimum Academic and Professional Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Business Administration, or Engineering fields.
  • 6+ years of relevant experience with proven performance in operations and supply chain management, consulting, and e-commerce.
