Job Description
- Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with business objectives and cost-saving targets.
- Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and evaluate their capabilities and suitability.
- Negotiate and manage contracts and agreements with suppliers to optimize pricing and terms.
- Monitor supplier performance, including delivery times, quality, and responsiveness.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand product requirements and specifications.
- Ensure compliance with procurement policies, regulations, and ethical standards.
- Maintain accurate records of procurement activities, contracts, and supplier information.
- Identify cost reduction opportunities and implement strategies to achieve savings.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and procurement and supply chain management best practices.
- Provide guidance and support to cross-functional teams on procurement-related matters.
- Monitor inventory levels and work closely with inventory management teams.
- Resolve any issues or disputes that may arise with suppliers or internal stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Metallurgy, Mining or Industrial Management, Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of experience in procurement, preferably in the industry.
- Strong knowledge of procurement processes, sourcing strategies, and supplier management.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in purchasing products and services.
