Job Description

Venus Glass has an outstanding opportunity for you to join our team as a quality control manager. In this role, you’ll ensure Venus Glass meets customer quality requirements. You’ll work closely with leaders across the organization to build a collaborative culture of quality which will have an important impact on the company and our customers.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify quality problems or areas for improvement and recommend solutions.
  • Communicate quality control information to all relevant organizational departments, outside vendors, or contractors.
  • Create and implement inspection and testing criteria or procedures.
  • Identify critical points in the manufacturing process and specify sampling procedures to be used at these points.
  • Produce reports regarding nonconformance of products or processes, daily production quality, root cause analyses, or quality trends.
  • Oversee workers including supervisors, inspectors, or laboratory workers engaged in testing activities.
  • Analyze quality control test results and provide feedback and interpretation to production management or staff.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering fields.
  • Five years of quality management and/or operations leadership in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience using quality system tools in a similar manufacturing environment.
  • Experience working in a lean manufacturing environment and leading change events using Six Sigma and lean manufacturing tools and systems.
  • Proven track record of leading, directing, and developing employees.
  • Able to analyze and research information and determine appropriate actions.
  • Experience working in the automotive industry is a must.
  • Fluent in Microsoft Office, especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to influence the organization at all levels.
