Venus Glass has an outstanding opportunity for you to join our team as a quality control manager. In this role, you’ll ensure Venus Glass meets customer quality requirements. You’ll work closely with leaders across the organization to build a collaborative culture of quality which will have an important impact on the company and our customers.
Responsibilities:
- Identify quality problems or areas for improvement and recommend solutions.
- Communicate quality control information to all relevant organizational departments, outside vendors, or contractors.
- Create and implement inspection and testing criteria or procedures.
- Identify critical points in the manufacturing process and specify sampling procedures to be used at these points.
- Produce reports regarding nonconformance of products or processes, daily production quality, root cause analyses, or quality trends.
- Oversee workers including supervisors, inspectors, or laboratory workers engaged in testing activities.
- Analyze quality control test results and provide feedback and interpretation to production management or staff.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering fields.
- Five years of quality management and/or operations leadership in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience using quality system tools in a similar manufacturing environment.
- Experience working in a lean manufacturing environment and leading change events using Six Sigma and lean manufacturing tools and systems.
- Proven track record of leading, directing, and developing employees.
- Able to analyze and research information and determine appropriate actions.
- Experience working in the automotive industry is a must.
- Fluent in Microsoft Office, especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to influence the organization at all levels.
