Job Description

  • Ensure full compliance with the SIPCs and the client’s HSE Program at the project site.
  • Advise and assist site personnel in corrective actions and preventive measures necessary to properly implement the HSE program.
  • Follow up on the PTW System and monitor and supervise all the PTW required activities and sign the Safety Box if it is needed for the PTW system.
  • Ensure that all safety equipment is checked regularly.
  • Ensure that any people breaking life-saving rules are reported to line supervisors and managers.
  • Plan, develop, and implement all mines and UXO safety issues (authorized safety officer).
  • Intervene and stop activities that he/she believes are imposing an immediate threat to the safety of personnel or serious environmental pollution.
  • Conduct safety monitoring and safety standby of activities permitted within the project, and ensure all site activities are being done under safety conditions.
  • Provide guidance, advice, and assistance in the implementation of the HSE Program.
  • Carry out frequent site inspections in addition to the official weekly inspections of all project areas under SIPC’s scope of work for which he is responsible and bring to the management's attention all deficiencies for subsequent safety compliance.
  • Conduct and participate in JSA meetings.
  • Coordinate site first aid and rescue procedures.
  • Assist in HSE audits & HSE management site inspection.
  • Conduct an investigation of any injury to personnel, loss, or damage to property including near misses.
  • Ensure that any equipment on site is suitable and provided with the necessary valid certificate and draw management's attention to any defect or deficiency.
  • Set himself as an example in the performance of utmost HSE compliance.
  • Conduct other activities arranged by supervisors.

Requirements

  • At least a Bachelor's degree from an accredited university.
  • 5 to 8 years of experience associated with Oil and Gas production and construction.
  • Familiar with international HSE regulations.
  • Computer literacy.
  • Fluent in English.
